About Georgie > Biography

Georgia Laura Henley (nicknamed 'Georgie') was born the 9th July 1995, in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, England and currently attends Bradford Grammar School. Her parents are Mike and Helen Henley, and she has two elder sisters; Rachael (who played an older Lucy in The Chronicle of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) and Laura.

Represented by Christian Hodell at Hamilton Hodell, Georgie began acting after an 18 month long casting session, which led to her being chosen for the part of Lucy Pevensie in the Disney big screen adaptions of The Chronicles of Narnia. She was originally discovered for the part by casting director Pippa Hall; who visited Georgie's old Drama company - Upstagers - looking for auditionees.

In 2006 Georgie broke away from the Narnia films for a while, and took the role of Young Jane, in the BBC's adaption of Jane Eyre. She then returned to participate in Prince Capsian, and has signed on to film The Voyage of Dawn Treader.
